So, HING makes arrangement for them. But the plan is finally exposed when he attempts in vain to get WAH’s seal. With a wish to draw WAH home, YEE pretends to be sick. To uphold family honor, she does not allow WAH to marry CHING. She threatens to kill herself as WAH refuses. Just before WAH is about to depart for Nanjing, he meets CHING and ends their relationship unwillingly.
